To create your virtual USD card, log in to your Cardtel dashboard and go to the My Card tab. Click Create my card, select Visa or Mastercard, and confirm. A $3.00 creation fee will be deducted from your USD balance. Your card is ready in seconds. You need to complete BVN verification (KYC Level 1) before creating a card.

Go to My Card → click Fund Card. Enter the amount in USD you want to add. A 1.5% funding fee applies. The funds are deducted from your USD wallet balance and credited to your card instantly. Your card must be active (not frozen or terminated) to fund it.

Your Cardtel virtual card works on any website or app that accepts international Visa/Mastercard payments. This includes Netflix, Spotify, Amazon, Apple, Google, Airbnb, Uber, PayPal, and thousands more. Any platform that accepts card payments globally will accept your Cardtel card.

In your dashboard, go to My Card → click Freeze. Your card will be instantly frozen and cannot be charged. To unfreeze, click Freeze again to toggle it back to active. Use this feature if you suspect unauthorized use of your card.

Card creation costs a one-time fee of $3.00 deducted from your USD balance. Funding your card costs 1.5% of the amount funded. There are no monthly maintenance fees. For example, funding $100 to your card costs $1.50 in fees, so $100 is credited to your card.

First, check that your card has sufficient balance and is not frozen. Some merchants require the billing address to match — use the address in your card details. If the issue persists, try a different merchant or contact us via WhatsApp with the merchant name and error message. Some high-risk merchants (crypto, adult sites, gambling) do not accept virtual cards.

After registering, go to your dashboard → Bank Account tab → click Generate my account. You'll receive a unique Wema Bank account number linked to your Cardtel wallet. Transfer any amount of Naira from any Nigerian bank to this account and it reflects in your wallet instantly.

Bank transfers to your Cardtel NGN account typically reflect within 1–5 minutes. If your transfer has not reflected after 30 minutes, please contact support with your transfer receipt. Do not transfer from international accounts to this NGN account number.

Go to Wallet → Fund USD. Select or enter the amount in Naira you want to convert. The current exchange rate (₦{rate}/$) will be applied. The converted USD is credited to your USD balance instantly and you can use it to create or fund your card.

The minimum wallet funding amount is ₦500. There is no maximum limit. For card creation, you need at least $3.00 in your USD balance.

Go to Gift Cards → Sell Gift Card → select the category (e.g. Amazon) → enter the card value and quantity → paste your card codes → submit. Our team reviews your submission and credits your NGN wallet upon approval. Review typically takes 5–30 minutes during business hours.

Most gift card trades are reviewed and approved within 5 to 30 minutes during working hours (8am – 10pm WAT). Trades submitted outside these hours are processed first thing the next morning. You will receive a notification once your trade is approved and your Naira balance is credited.

Common reasons for rejection include: card already used/redeemed, incorrect card codes, card from an unsupported country, or card value does not match what was stated. If you believe your card was rejected in error, contact support with your trade ID and card details within 24 hours.
